1. The Meaning of “Making Melody”

The phrase “making melody” comes from the Greek word psallō, which originally meant to pluck strings, like a harp. But here, the instrument is not external—it is the human heart.

This shifts worship from:

• External performance → Internal transformation
• Sound → Spirit
• Music → Relationship

God is not primarily seeking a song from your lips, but a symphony from your soul.

2. The Heart as God’s Instrument

“The Lord looks at the heart.” — First Book of Samuel 16:7

Just as a musician tunes an instrument, God desires a tuned heart.

A heart that makes melody is:

• In tune with God’s will
• Sensitive to the Holy Spirit
• Free from bitterness and noise

If the heart is:

• Filled with anger → the melody becomes harsh
• Filled with fear → the melody becomes weak
• Filled with sin → the melody becomes distorted

But when filled with the Spirit, it produces harmony with heaven.

3. The Source of the Melody: The Holy Spirit

Notice the command:

“Be filled with the Spirit…”

Melody in the heart is not manufactured—it is produced.

The progression in Epistle to the Ephesians 5:

1. Be filled with the Spirit
2. Speak in psalms, hymns, spiritual songs
3. Sing and make melody in your heart

Melody is the overflow of a Spirit-filled life.

You don’t force worship—you overflow with worship.

4. Melody in Every Season of Life

Making melody is not limited to joyful moments.

In Suffering

Paul the Apostle and Silas sang in prison (Acts 16:25)

• Chains couldn’t silence their melody
• Pain became a platform for praise

In Waiting

Like in Book of Psalms, many songs were written in distress, yet they turned into worship.

In Victory

Songs become declarations of God’s faithfulness.

True melody is not based on circumstances but on confidence in God’s character.

5. What Does This Melody Sound Like?

It may not always be audible, but it is deeply real.

It sounds like:

• Gratitude instead of complaining
• Peace instead of anxiety
• Faith instead of fear
• Joy instead of despair

Melody is a lifestyle of thanksgiving.

6. The Battle for Your Song

Your heart is constantly being influenced:

• The world tries to fill it with noise
• The enemy tries to fill it with negativity
• The flesh tries to fill it with self

If you don’t intentionally allow the Spirit to fill you, something else will.

👉 A silent heart is never empty—it is just filled with the wrong song.

1. Abide in the Word

Epistle to the Colossians 3:16 connects the Word with singing.

• The Word gives lyrics to your soul

2. Walk in the Spirit

Daily surrender produces divine music.

3. Practice Thanksgiving

Gratitude tunes the heart.

4. Guard Your Heart

Book of Proverbs 4:23

• What enters your heart shapes your melody

5. Worship in Secret

Private worship produces public strength.

Making melody in your heart means:

• You are constantly aware of God
• You are aligned with His Spirit
• You are living a life of inward worship

God delights not in perfect voices, but in pure hearts.

"கீர்த்தனம் பண்ணுதல்" (Making Melody) என்ற சொற்றொடர் *psallō* என்ற கிரேக்க வார்த்தையிலிருந்து வந்தது. இதன் அசல் பொருள் வீணை போன்ற நரம்பு வாத்தியங்களை மீட்டுவதாகும். ஆனால் இங்கே, இசைக்கருவி வெளியிலிருந்து வருவதல்ல—அது மனித இருதயம்.

இது வழிபாட்டை இவ்வாறு மாற்றுகிறது:

ஒரு இசைக்கலைஞர் ஒரு கருவியைச் சுருதி சேர்ப்பது போல, தேவன் சீரமைக்கப்பட்ட (tuned) ஒரு இருதயத்தை விரும்புகிறார்.

சங்கீதம் பாடும் இருதயம் என்பது:

 * தேவனுடைய சித்தத்தோடு இசைந்திருப்பது.

 * பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவருக்கு உணர்திறன் மிக்கதாக இருப்பது.

 * கசப்பு மற்றும் இரைச்சலற்றதாக இருப்பது.

உங்கள் இருதயம்:

 * **கோபத்தால் நிறைந்திருந்தால்** → இசை கசப்பானதாக மாறும்.

 * **பயத்தால் நிறைந்திருந்தால்** → இசை பலவீனமானதாக மாறும்.

 * **பாவத்தால் நிறைந்திருந்தால்** → இசை சிதைந்து போகும்.

ஆனால் ஆவியினால் நிறைந்திருக்கும்போது, அது பரலோகத்தோடு ஒத்திசைவை (harmony) உருவாக்குகிறது.

### 3. இசையின் ஊற்று: பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர்

 1. ஆவியினால் நிறைந்து இருங்கள்.

 3. உங்கள் இருதயத்தில் கர்த்தரைப் பாடிக் கீர்த்தனம் பண்ணுங்கள்.

இசை என்பது ஆவி நிறைந்த வாழ்வின் வழிந்தோடல் ஆகும். நீங்கள் வழிபாட்டை கட்டாயப்படுத்திச் செய்வதில்லை—அது உங்களிலிருந்து பொங்கி வழிகிறது.

### 4. வாழ்வின் ஒவ்வொரு காலங்களிலும் சங்கீதம்

இருதயத்தில் கீர்த்தனம் பண்ணுவது மகிழ்ச்சியான தருணங்களுக்கு மட்டும் மட்டுப்படுத்தப்பட்டது அல்ல.

 * **துன்பத்தில்:** பவுலும் சீலாவும் சிறைச்சாலையில் பாடினார்கள் (அப்போஸ்தலர் 16:25). சங்கிலிகளால் அவர்களின் இசையை மௌனமாக்க முடியவில்லை; அவர்களின் வலி துதிப்பதற்கான ஒரு மேடையாக மாறியது.

 * **காத்திருப்பில்:** சங்கீதப் புத்தகத்தில் உள்ள பல பாடல்கள் மனவேதனையில் எழுதப்பட்டவை, இருப்பினும் அவை வழிபாடாக மாறின.

 * உலகம் அதை இரைச்சலால் நிரப்ப முயல்கிறது.

 * எதிரி (சாத்தான்) அதை எதிர்மறை எண்ணங்களால் நிரப்ப முயல்கிறான்.

 * மாம்சம் அதை சுயநலத்தால் நிரப்ப முயல்கிறது.

நீங்கள் வேண்டுமென்றே பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவர் உங்களை நிரப்ப அனுமதிக்கவில்லை என்றால், வேறு ஏதோ ஒன்று உங்களை நிரப்பும்.

👉 **மௌனமாக இருக்கும் இருதயம் ஒருபோதும் காலியாக இருப்பதில்லை—அது தவறான பாடலால் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது.**

### 7. உங்கள் இருதயத்தில் இசையை வளர்ப்பது எப்படி?

 1. **வசனத்தில் நிலைத்திருங்கள்:** கொலோசெயர் 3:16 தேவனுடைய வசனத்தையும் பாடுவதையும் இணைக்கிறது. வசனம் உங்கள் ஆத்துமாவிற்கு வரிகளைத் தருகிறது.

 2. **ஆவியில் நடங்கள்:** அன்றாட அர்ப்பணிப்பு தெய்வீக இசையை உருவாக்குகிறது.

 3. **நன்றி செலுத்துதலைப் பழகுங்கள்:** நன்றியுணர்வு இருதயத்தைச் சுருதி சேர்க்கிறது.
