The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that it carried out targeted airstrikes against the Houthi terrorist regime in the Sanaa area of Yemen.

According to the IDF, the strikes hit key military infrastructure, including a military site housing the presidential palace, the Asar and Hizaz power plants, and a facility used for fuel storage—all of which were being utilized for Houthi military activity.

The action comes in direct response to repeated attacks launched by the Houthi regime against Israel in recent days, including the firing of surface-to-surface missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) toward Israeli territory.

The IDF emphasized that the presidential palace is not merely a civilian government site but part of a military complex actively used by Houthi forces. Similarly, the Hizaz and Asar power plants were identified as critical electricity supply hubs powering Houthi military operations.

By striking these facilities, the IDF stated, it has dealt a blow to the Houthis’ ability to conduct further military activity. The use of civilian infrastructure for military purposes, the statement noted, highlights the Houthis’ continued exploitation of civilian assets for warfare.

The Houthis, backed and funded by the Iranian regime, have long sought to destabilize the region by targeting Israel and threatening global shipping and trade routes through maritime terrorism.

“The IDF will continue to operate against the ongoing and repeated attacks of the Houthi terrorist regime against the State of Israel,” the statement concluded, reaffirming Israel’s determination to neutralize threats against its civilians “wherever required.”
